World renowned brand, Vitality Institute, has been recognized for its superior results for this specific formulation that includes hydroquinone to address pigmentation seated in the deeper dermis layer. Ingredient Phenol allows the hydroquinone to permeate past the epidermis, into the dermis, to suppress melanocytes (the cells that produce pigment) from future production of pigment and lift / lighten existing pigment deposits. 

This professional kit includes everything you need to perform 1 precision plus chemical peel treatment at home PLUS the aftercare kit to set you up for the best result. What’s included:

• (1) 5ml vial of Peel Solution
• (1) brighten booster 
• (1) lighten booster (mix both boosters into the peel solution and stir before applying)
• (1) gauze pad
• (1) medicine cup for peel solution to be poured into and mixed in
• (1) pre-peel towelette saturated in alcohol 90% and acetone to degrease the skin
• (1) pamphlet with professional instructions to administer and prep the skin appropriately including contraindications and cautions.
• (1) post peel kit that contains:

1. 1oz tube of gentle purifying cleanser

Pre-peel prep is highly recommended. I see the best results when patients utilize these products for at least 3 weeks before a peel. 

1. exfoliate - either a mechanical exfoliating product like ZO Skin Health Exfoliating Polish or Alastin Resurface Scrub. OR a chemical exfoliant like ZO complexion pads/ Oil control, salicylic and glycolic acid blend of acids in 10% or higher concentrations. Use the scrub 3-5 nights a week. Toner pads daily.
2. retinol - retinol in the form of tretinoin is recommended because it is readily absorbed and the body doesn’t have to convert it to anything in order to utilize it. Retinol will accelerate skin cell turnover- getting rid of dead skin cells by assisting them to flake or peel off, allowing the more youthful regenerated layer to be unveiled. TRETINOIN in .25% is less irritating, strengths of .05% and .1% are available. If you are highly sensitive, use this only 3 nights a week and keep concentration low. If you no longer get any peeling from your strength of tretinoin, it may be time to jump up to the next strength.
3. tyrosinase inhibitor or hydroquinone- the gold standard for treating pigmentation is hydroquinone.  

   Hydroquinone is a skin-lightening agent used to reduce hyperpigmentation, such as melasma, dark spots, freckles, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It works by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, which is essential for the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin color. By blocking melanin synthesis, hydroquinone gradually lightens dark patches on the skin.

   It is typically used in concentrations of 2% (over-the-counter) and 4% or higher (prescription-strength) and requires consistent application over weeks to months for noticeable results. However, long-term use should be monitored, as prolonged exposure may lead to ochronosis (a bluish-gray skin discoloration) and irritation. Hydroquinone should be used in cycles of 5 weeks on, 5 weeks off. Alternatives include Alastin Skincare’s A-LUMINATE Brightening Serum. A key ingredient in this serum is tranexamic acid, which functions as a tyrosinase inhibitor. By inhibiting tyrosinase—the enzyme responsible for melanin production—tranexamic acid helps reduce the formation of dark spots and discoloration. Additional ingredients like niacinamide work synergistically to lighten pigment in the skin.
